3 Smoked Olives Island Festival is a music festival in Călărași. The festival is held on an island located on the Danube River, far away from the bustle of the cities. The only way to get on the island is by boat. The moment you put your feet on the boat you enter another world - a more natural one, with water, sand, a young forest and clear blue skies.
3 Smoked Olives Island Festival started nine years ago as a nature get away between a group of friend. Now it’a a complex event with several scenes and artists.

Somewhere between Romania and Bulgaria, this remote and magical island on the Danube, which is hidden from our sight for most of the year, reveals itself to 2000 #islanders when the tide has turn.

The festival pays special attention to nature protection and invites the public to discover the wild places on the Danube, considered "true natural sanctuaries".
Pitfalls and challenges
As it grows from year to year, it's a bit of a challenge to accommodate all people with tents or enough space for the tents, takeing into consideration that it's on an island not so big. the island sinks every year in winter-spring and next summer when it surfaces again has always a different shape.
Opportunities and plans for the future
This festival is one of its kind being the only one held on an island in this area. It becomes more and more known, and more people are already sign up on the site, confirming their presence in 2020.
