Flowers of May Music Festival is a competition for the interpretation of Romanian light music. It is organized by the Calarasi County Council, the Calarasi County Center for Culture and Creation. This year he reached the XXXI edition.
Flori de Mai is a festival with a tradition in the national musical landscape. He continues to promote, through his competitors, the charm of Romanian light music.
Also, the contest is addressed to Romanians everywhere. He promotes the idea of competition and respect for the authentic values of Romanian light music. From here it appeared the obligation of each competitor to interpret in the contest, exclusively pieces of the Romanian composers

Supports to set up your event
The contest will be held in the showroom of the County Center of Culture and Creation Calarasi. It is aimed at young people from 14 to 30 years old. Important to show the orientation towards excellence, Flowers of May Music Festival is performed with orchestral accompaniment.
Pitfalls and challenges
Being organized by the County Council, through the County Cultural Center, the allocated funds are quite small, resulting in an increasingly smaller presence.
Opportunities and plans for the future
In 2019 the festival was fully broadcast by NETv. NETv is a brand NEW ENTERTAINMENT TELEVISION SRL supported by ACRIS MEDIA PRODUCTION, the brand under which, since 2008, there have been live TV broadcasts on the Internet from different events: conferences, book or product launches, worldly or sporting events.
Live streaming ensures excellent visibility in the online environment while bringing high traffic.
