The Tenaris Cinelatino Festival is at its 8th edition and takes place in Calarasi, Campina and Zalău, the 3 cities in Romania where TenarisSilcotub has production activities. TenarisSilcotub organizes this event together with the PROA Foundation, which has the mission to manage the cultural programs of Tenaris worldwide, and the Association for the Promotion of the Romanian Film, which organizes the Transilvania International Film Festival (TIFF) every year.
Pitfalls and challenges
The Calarasi cinema has a very small capacity, which cannot cope with the large number of people who want to participate, especially since the entrance is free.As it grows from year to year, it's a bit of a challenge to accommodate all people.
Opportunities and plans for the future
The event organized by TenarisSilcotub invites moviegoers to discover unique cultural experiences. "The last year has produced extraordinary productions both in the Romanian cinema, but also in the one in the Latin area, with films that very well complement the messages of connection between cultures, diversity and authenticity that we are trying to convey to our communities”. We are glad to say that this film festival will stay for the future. An we have great plans for 2020.
